SGT is initially the (french) acronym of a project funded by ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) from January 2012 to September 2015 : Structures Géométriques Triangulées.

Several collaborations started during this period and SGT now contributes to initiate an international project on the same subject : CURVE.

The true starting point of the CURVE project was the conference we organize on 2015 June 22-26 in Paris.
